Your Guide to Selling Lots

Our Client Services team — supported nationwide by specialist consultants — offer an unparalleled service designed to ensure you achieve the best possible price for your vintage toys and collectables. Below, you will find a detailed guide as to how the selling process works.

Catalogue Sales

We conduct regular specialist sales of diecast and tinplate toys, model railways, action figures, bears, dolls, and other similar toy related collectables.

Entries are researched, photographed and listed in our online catalogue, as well as selected specialist international websites and search engines, attracting buyers from around the world.

We are partnered with, Europe’s leading portal for auctions. Visitors to the site can search and browse catalogues and place bids over the internet in real time, with live audio and video feeds communicating the auction room atmosphere.

We have an extensive database of clients who we advertise to locally, nationally and internationally. Our experts are regularly featured on TV and radio, giving us a broader reach. We also send out our popular newsletter to registered buyers, keeping them informed about upcoming auctions and other events.

Hammer Prices

The Auction Centre has a history of achieving the best price for our sellers — much higher than many other provincial salerooms. We regularly see high attendance figures both at the saleroom and online.

Our Charges

Our commission rates are highly competitive at just 15% plus a lot charge of £3 and VAT. Vendors will be sent a fully itemised statement approximately three weeks after the sale in which their lots have been sold. In that time, the net proceeds of the sale will be paid directly into your bank account.

Free Collection Anywhere in the UK

Do you have a vintage toy or collectable that you would like to see placed in one of our auctions? We offer a free collection service* from anywhere in the UK, meaning you do not have to travel to Runcorn, Cheshire to enter your toys.
