No Need to Wait Weeks for Your Toy or Collectable

As a team of avid toy collectors ourselves, we understand that you do not want to wait weeks on end to receive your recently won lots. There’s nothing quite as frustrating as drawn out delivery dates, which is why we aim to have all items from our auctions at your door within four days.

British Toy Auctions follows a simple formula; we host our auctions on the Monday, payment is completed on the Tuesday, and items are sent out on the Wednesday. By Thursday, your brand new toy or collectable should be with you.

Please note that all transactions including payments, collections and shipping must be finalised by no later than close of business on the Wednesday following the auction in order for us to despatch your lot as soon as possible.

Payment Process

Bidders may pay for their purchases by BACS (electronic transfer) or Debit Card (if present in the saleroom). Please note that we are unable to accept card payments over the telephone. Clients purchasing lots via an internet facility (eg the-saleroom.com) normally have payments taken from a registered debit card via the-saleroom.com GAP payment request facility.

Please pay for your lots no later than close of business on the Wednesday following the auction. Details of late-payers and non-payers are shared with other auction houses and live internet bidding sites.

Shipping is normally undertaken by Parcelforce although some small packages may be shipped by Royal Mail.

  • Packing and Shipping of items under 2 kg within the UK from £16 including insurance for loss (not damage) in transit.
  • Packing and Shipping of items between 2 kg to 30 kg within the UK from £18 including insurance for loss (not damage) in transit.
  • Packing and Shipping of items outside the UK – please ask for a quote.

For Packing and Shipping of very large items, we are able to recommend a number of specialist door-to-door couriers at reasonable cost. Please ask for a quotation before bidding.

Worldwide

Packing and Shipping of items under 2kg costs from £20 including insurance for loss (not damage) in transit. For packing and shipping of items over 2 kg, please ask for a quotation before bidding.

Important Information

All packages are delivered on a ‘signed for’ basis. Any insurance is provided by the courier or shipper and British Toy Auctions accepts no liability for any loss or damage after the goods have been collected or delivered to the courier or shipper. All prices are plus VAT.
