A 1984 vintage G1 Transformers Autobot Commander Optimus Prime, model 5796 by Hasbro was sold at auction this week for the amazing sum of £850 hammer price excluding BP. This was just one of many similar lots that exceeded guide prices at another very successful international sale of vintage toys and models.
Specialist cataloguer, Simon Kelly said “I was absolutely gobsmacked by the result; I never expected it to reach anything like that figure. I suppose it was all to do with the condition; I’m guessing it’s never been played with. An absolutely tremendous result for the vendor”
