Three rare CCM (Classic Construction Models) boxed limited edition American 1/48 scale factory built model cranes went under the hammer on 28 October at British Toy Auctions. Each crane was issued in a limited edition of only 500 and consisted of a Bucyrus Erie 88-B Model II Dragline dated June 1991, a Manitowoc E4100W dated June 1990 and a Link-Belt HC-268 Truck Crane dated July 1992. Although very dusty from storage and in their original shipping boxes which were in poor condition, the three models achieved a combined hammer price of almost £1500 (excluding buyer premium and internet fees).
