Coming up for sale at British Toy Auctions shortly is a rare, unboxed Dinky Leyland Octopus 8-wheel ‘Corn Products’. This model diecast was one of around 500 promotional models issued between 1963 and 1964 featuring a white body and white plastic tank with ‘Sweetners for Industry’ in white on black labels to the side, with an additional white on black decal to the cab roof marked ‘Corn Products (Sales) Ltd.’ The model has some minor paint loss but is certain to attract a bidding frenzy when it is offered at auction on Monday 3rd February with a guide price of £800 to £1200.
